“Follow Your Highest Level Of Excitement: Conversation With Intuitive and Spiritual Mentor Allison Sutter

In this week’s episode of The Get the F*ck Off Podcast, I had the true pleasure of talking to author and intuitive and spiritual mentor Allison Sutter, M.Ed.

Allison taught in areas of education and self-help for over 25 years. She has authored many self-help and children’s books, and her work has inspired thousands worldwide who are awakening spiritually to trust their inner guidance as true North, to be confident and truly happy even in the midst of life's challenges, and use the power of authenticity to navigate the road to sustainable success.

So many people I work with or have conversations with are confused about intuition. What is it? How does it work?

Allison’s work has been speaking volumes to me lately with regard to intuition, so I was so excited to have a conversation with her about it to help listeners get some clarity on this area.

She defines intuition as the conversation between herself and her higher self; our physical selves and our non-physical selves. As she says, “it’s the go-between point. It's like a radio is a translator of frequency… Intuition is a is a midpoint, for lack of a better word, of the vibration coming from your higher self. Because we speak, we think in language, so when an impulse or communication is coming through, it gets translated into however you are receiving it.”

Fascinating stuff.

We can’t talk about intuition without first diving into limiting beliefs and transforming fear. We talk about paying attention to emotions, and ways to identify those belief systems that keep you repeating patterns or stuck in states where you can’t hear your own voice or feel your own body.

A big thing I see with my audience is that people who tend to excel in business have limiting beliefs in areas regarding health, and vice versa. (I got the fuckin’ double whammy, but I was able to clear the mirror faster with the health limiting beliefs.)

Allison explains that if you can channel your intuition in one area, you can do it in all areas. You’re the one allowing or disallowing the experience.

For health, the cells of our body have a consciousness all on their own, so they want to remain in homeostasis. Our cells want to move away from things that constrict us and harm us, so when stopping any habit, as you move back to homeostasis, your body will give you subtle cues as to “what to do.”

Whatever we want and desire is available to us via the path of least resistence.

To say you don’t know what you want is crap. We all know what we want and how to get there— we often just choose to accept someone else’s narrative as “the way” before trusting ourselves.

We always know the way, and as Allison explains, we can get there by following our highest level of excitement… staying in a positive mindset and following the path that’s available to us without demanding something specific or attaching to an outcome.

What is your highest level of excitement? It really depends on where you are. As Allison says, if you’re despondent, your highest level of excitement might just be “being really pissed off,” and that’s OK.

“Where are you, and how much can you move based on where you are?”

One massive takeaway from this podcast for me was Allison’s assertion that intuition always comes through in a calm certainty.

Intuition never causes panic, so if you’re feeling panic, that’s a limiting belief.

I fucking loved every minute of this conversation and I hope you’ll join us in exploring intuition.
